As part of London Technology Week the Greenwich Google Developers group, supported by its partners, Royal Borough of Greenwich, Ravensbourne and The University of Greenwich, is pleased to announce ‘Emerging Digital Technologies for the Smart City’ on Wednesday 22nd June 2016 from 5.30 – 8.00pm.
This is an excellent opportunity for companies and individuals to demonstrate new technologies and business ideas, it’s a chance to learn about working with our partners.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich launched its ‘Smart City Strategy’ in late 2015 which set out how the Council proposes to implement “smarter” approaches to coping with the challenges ahead, and to create new opportunities for businesses and local communities, securing business regeneration and growth. Redevelopment of Greenwich Peninsula, Charlton Riverside and Thamesmead will all provide an opportunity to test new smart services/technologies and to work directly with Digital Greenwich and the dynamic ecosystem of emerging talents and SMEs in Greenwich.
We are looking for new smart services and technologies which could play an important role in the future of Greenwich, Greater London and major international cities. We are particularly interested in technology related to Citizen engagement, Smart use of Energy and Water, Service transformation, Autonomous Vehicles, 3D Printing and Smart Systems for Pervasive Robotics – A built environment that responds to the users comfort.
If you are an entrepreneur or start-up based in London, a resident of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, a Ravensbourne or UoG staff member or student interested in smart technologies this will be a perfect event to attend. We also welcome investors looking for investment opportunities.
