“Ghost In The Shell” Hexapod Tank

Paulius Liekis, from Lithuania, has been working on a 3D printable replica of the T08A2 / R3000 spider tank from animated cult class, Ghost In The Shell. His 3D printed GITS inspired “Spidertank” is powered by RaspberryPi and can be controlled with a PlayStation controller.

AI.FRAME Open Source Humanoid Robots

Shenzhen-based Zebo Sun and Jaiqi Hu have developed a series of open source “AI.FRAME” miniature humanoid robots that have been designed for serious customization using 3D printing and laser cutting technologies. The duo has also developed a humanoid robot control device called “Wildflower” that enables humans to control robots using their own body movements.

IMA Juno

Canadian-based Explore Making have released the IMA Juno as a great introduction to making, Arduino coding, electronics, and 3D printing. The project includes step-by-step easy to follow instructions and an Android app to control the robot from the user’s smartphone or tablet. With their project, they hope to inspire the next generation of makers.
