If we ever see this in production we would have officially entered The Future. Likewise, we’ll probably all be violently killed from driving with no hands. This is DICE (Dynamic & Intuitive Control Experience), the customisable, gesture controlled car dashboard.

Offering all the information you might need while driving (nearby restaurants, points of interest, your friend’s Twitter status), this amazing piece of kit will truly transform our lives into the Minority Report film.

With some luck this should inspire a useable car windscreen HUD (Heads Up Display) which could overlay satellite navigation for the times when you’re too busy driving to peep at a 4×3 inch screen. Late last year we did see such a thing with the Pioneer AR-HUD, which we’re expecting “some time” 2012.

DICE however is only a concept. Mercedes-Benz (the developer of DICE) say that we won’t see it for at least another 20 years, which means you’ll have to make do with checking your Google+ stream via your mobile for now (not really – it’s illegal).
