The iconic ErgoDox keyboard is found on the nerdiest of desks. Not only does it look like something out of Hackers (movie) but owning one requires buying each component and building it by hand. Luckily, though, someone has seen a gap in the market and filled it. Owning an ErgoDox is now a possibility for everyday people like you and I.
ErgoDox EZ is a preassembled ErgoDox keyboard that works out of the box.
I can’t say that these keyboard layouts are especially easy to use or do anything to help your crippling repetitive-strain-injury, but you have to admit – it looks pretty cool.
The beauty of the keyboard comes in its customisability. Users have six options of keys with varying levels of ‘clickiness’, force requirement and easing type. Key function can also be programmed with provided software.
At $190 it ain’t cheap, but screw it. You’re Zero-Cool. Go hack a bank or something.
