Check out: Arduino Day 2015

Evangelos Georgiou at King’s College London has kickstarted a campaign to bring about an Arduino powered robot controlled by Android devices and iPhones.

The kit comes complete with an Arduino board, wifi shield, motors, chassis, tracks and apps that will be available on Google Play and Apple’s App Store.

Building a robot from scratch is hard. Arduino has taken away most of the leg work but sourcing materials, building the chassis and proving the design is neither quick nor easy. Robots like RK-1 are definitely the answer to fast and fun roboteering, and what’s nice about RK-1 is that it can be extended beyond it’s out-of-box form by programming the microcontroller everyone is already familiar with.

Head over to Kickstarter to reserve yourself one for £150.
