Where we’re going, we don’t need roads. Or rather Matthew Riese doesn’t with his newly built DeLorean hovercraft.

In 2010 Riese asked for $5,500 (€4,457) on KickStarter and received $5,644. 2 years later his creation has been set free.

The car was built from scratch and an air-cushion incorporated (not skis). Riese explains that it was the first time driving the vehicle and almost hit some rocks.

Those who’ve driven hovercrafts liken it to driving a shopping trolly. I.e. Steering doesn’t steer you. But it looks as though Riese realised this pretty early on with his epic power slide.
