10 years after Tamagotchi’s were trending, they’re back! Well kinda. This is Bit Beast, the new virtual pet for Android ready to fill the pixel-shaped hole in your heart.

The graphics are the same (intentional) but it would be mad not to harness some of the awesome power of Android. Remember Digimon? The spin off from Tamagotchi which let owners battle their pets, seemingly wirelessly? Well sorry to disappoint, but that was fake wifi. Bit Beast however really is wireless enabled, using Bluetooth to connect to a friend’s device and battle their pet.

A few other games ingeniously use the GPS system to help the pet earn points by how far it (you) have literally travelled and the speed accomplished.

Get it now from Google Play
