Posted yesterday on the “The Intercom Blog” titled what’s in a name? This post really made me think and it suddenly became so obvious, how could I have been so oblivious to this strange phenomenon.
It’s all about the multitude of Android devices being launched to challenge the dominance of the iPhone and iPad. So as you can imagine naming all these devices are becoming an issue for manufactures.
And what do you do when it’s difficult to come up with new names?
Make them sexual. Case an point “HTC Sensation”.
“Which will run out first: the list of “sexy sounding product names”, or the list of meaningfully different ways to differentiate Android phones?”
